Welcome to our little slice of God's Kingdom, nestled between the man-made waterways of Mountain Lakes, NJ. We are a church of faithful, forgiven, and redeemed servants who desire to be faithful in every area of our lives to the King of all kings, Jesus Christ. He who not only gave His life for us, but who now, by His holy and infallible Word, directs and governs our actions, our ministries, and our concern for all people... especially those who do not know God's love in Christ. Jesus alone inspires us to be active disciples, driven to reach out with His love and compassion by addressing the needs of those where we work, live, and play.
Our annual Rally Day Celebration is Sunday, Sept. 15. Summer schedules make it so hard to see each other consistently, so this will be a great day to reunite for a time of food, fun, and fellowship. We will begin in worship with a special blessing for all of our students and teachers as they begin a new year, then continue the fun with our tailgate, a churchwide potluck and picnic. This will kick off our fall programs (Sunday School, Adult Bible Class, Youth Group), which will all start the following week, September 22nd. Look soon for a Signup Genius link. We are hoping the ENTIRE church will show up!
This fall, our Sunday Adult Bible study will seek to answer the question, what does it mean to be a Lutheran? In a deep sea, flooded with denominations, it is important for us to understand what being an LCMS Lutheran means. Of course, our church body is not perfect and we do not have a monopoly on the truth; but we should be proud of our Lutheran history and identity. What do we believe and why? What do we not believe? How do these things impact our daily lives and witness? If you are interested in purchasing the optional book for this study, it can be found via CPH here or via Amazon here. You certainly don’t need it to attend and benefit from the study; it is simply a helpful resource to trigger thoughts or initiate questions in advance of our Bible class time. Hope you join us!
